Ursula, an MS parent and Senior Project Manager for an international company visited MS 1 last week, during their Business Studies lesson to do a presentation.

Ursula’s presentation about factors one should consider when starting a business was interesting and our MS 1 LPs learned a lot.

Our popstars…..

In the ISN we have discovered talent amongst us.

Taking part tonight at 20:00 in a popstars competition in Hassloch are the ISN Band, consisting of Daniel H (vocalist), Tazzio (drummer / percussionist),  Paul N (guitarist) and Jakob (pianist). ISN is wishing you the best for this evening. Enjoy yourself guys!!

An exciting new year….!

I hope that you all had a wonderful break and that you are still enjoying the very hot summer spells. So, here we are, back to another exciting and challenging year in the history of our school.

The 2009-2010 academic year will see our first batch of students take their IGCSE examinations in May-June (IMPORTANT note to MS5 parents: please do not organise any holiday away from Neustadt during the months of May-June.) The IGCSE, being an international examination, does not take into account individual school holidays in individual countries.

Examinations are conducted worldwide in May-June or in November). May 4th and 5th 2010 will also be our IB Diploma accreditation days. In preparation for a successful accreditation visit, we have already started working towards IB Diploma standards and practices at Middle School. Last month, 5 mentors attended regional IB Diploma workshops in their respective specialist fields. Mentors will, as of next month, continue training online with the IB in Geneva.

June Exam 2009

The exam time table and revision checklists for MS 1 – 4 for the June 2009 examination have been sent to parents by email.

The revision checklists are summaries of the expectations for each subject for the work covered during this term (January – June) for MS 1 – 3 and for IGCSE LPs from August 2008 – June 2009.

 Everyone feels nervous about taking exams. Here are some exam tips  (from the Cambridge Student’s Website) to help you make the most of your revision time and keep those nerves under control.

I would like to remind LPs that they should make appointments  with there subject mentors for when needed.

Mentor-parent conference.

Congratulations to the ‘Tigers’ team ( Stefan MS 4, Tazzio MS 2, Christina MS 2, Elaine MS 1, Marieke MS 1, Kirk and Jacques) who won the trivia competition, this morning. Well done!
