ISN is an “SBW House of Learning” implementing the IB-Curriculum (PYP; DP) and Cambridge IGCSE. We are an IB candidate school and an accredited nomination center for Cambridge International Examinations.
OUR BELIEFS:
Our aim is to develop and promote Autonomous Learning amongst our Learning Partners and Mentors through respect (for self, others and our environment) and the IB Learner Profile (inquirer, knowledgeable, caring principled, communicator, risk-taker, thinker, balanced, open-minded).
- ISN will strive to create learning environments in which children’s learning can be optimized.
- By learning environment we mean:
- The physical environment: Lernatelier, input rooms, arts room, media center, science laboratories and playrooms.
- The adults in the child’s learning community: mentors, coaches, parents, resource people.
- This stimulating environment (in the case of ISN as an SBW House of Learning implementing the IB programme) has to meet international norms and standards specified by the IBO and the University of Cambridge International Examinations Section.
OUR OBJECTIVES:
ISN’s objectives are to:
- develop the child as a whole, by equipping him/her with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and understanding of universal concepts (form, function, causation, changes, connection, perspective, responsibility, reflection, ), in a safe, stimulating and caring environment with the adequate resources so that he/she achieves success in the International Baccalaureate Diploma and the IGCSE examinations.
- We believe that in order to be competitive ISN will have to strengthen its standards and practises in order to meet or exceed parent expectations as well as international school norms in Europe and elsewhere.
